Read timed out
Hallo,
I try to modify a Table (6.000.000 Rows) with the DDL:
ALTER TABLE D_GEO ADD COLUMN IDX NUMERIC(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT 1;
an I recive this error:
Error: java.sql.SQLException: A communications error has been detected: Read
timed out., SQL State: 58009, Error Code: -4499
How can I to resove or analyse the error?
Regards
Tomás

How long had the statement been running before the error occurred?
Was this system busy during this time? Or idle?
Are there any error messages in the derby.log file?
Can you get a complete stack trace for the exception?
thanks,
