[users@httpd] Upgrading Question

Sorry, easy question. Past I have used RPMs for Apache, but not anymore.

When upgrading apache 2.44 to 2.46 or any new version, do I just act
like I am installing it for the first time? Or is there a special config
parameter I should use? Also, will the config file stay the same? I
think I read that in the documentation someplace.
