Archiva comes pre-configured with a network proxy.
When I delete it in the web UI, it comes back the next time I start Archiva. It does not get removed from ~/.m2/archiva.xml.
Workaround: stop Archiva and edit ~/.m2/archiva.xml, then restart

I can delete the example network proxy in the Web UI without any problem: it doesn't come back when I start Archiva for it is actually deleted from archiva.xml.
Can you still reproduce this bug? It may have been fixed meanwhile.

I don't think we should even have the exaple proxy in there. It doesn't make much sense to me?

I created MRM-418 to get a trace, in the changelog, of the removal of the default network proxy.
As for this issue, unless you tell me that you can reproduce the bug, I'll close it for alpha-2.

I agree with leaving it out. People who are behind proxies will know they have to go looking for extra configuration.
(The network proxy does not appear to be in use by default, it's just there as an example.)
