Tomcat 5.0.28 Clustering and Load Balancing
I'm new to Tomcat and am in the process of investigating the
configuration of Tomcat 5.0.28 on RedHat Linux (AS 3) and Load
Balancing.
The documentation that I've come across at http://tomcat.apache.org
<http://tomcat.apache.org/> most often deals with Tomcat version 5.5.
Could someone assist in directing me to documentation for the 5.0.28
release and if possible specific to RedHat AS 3?
Our inquires to RedHat Support tell us to go to http://tomcat.apache.org
<http://tomcat.apache.org/> , hence my effort to send this to the
distribution.
We'd like to implement testing across 2 or more nodes using as the RPM
distributed by RedHat doesn't support vertical clustering - a cluster on
a single node. Here's what I'm looking into testing:
- Hardware Load Balancer
- Tomcat instances across 2 or 3 nodes
- Clustering
Thanks in advance for your feedback and replies.

Many thanks!
But the current tomcat 5.5 documentation find here
http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/cluster-howto.html
I thing it exists many good reasons to migrate from 5.0 to tomcat 5.5.16
if really using clustering today :-)

Peter Rossbach has done a great job documenting most of it here.
