[ANNOUNCE] geode-kafka-connector

Hi Geode Community,

In the past 2 weeks, Jason Huynh coded up an Apache Kafka - Apache Geode
connector which is able to use Apache Geode as a sink and as a source.

We are very pleased to announce that the code is now open-sourced under
Apache Software Foundation repositories and is available at
https://github.com/apache/geode-kafka-connector

We have tested basic features including security and are experimenting with
integration with cloud platforms. Currently, Donal Evans and I along with
Jason are getting other features completed which are required by Confluent
to get the connector certified.

We will highly appreciate any feedback and contributions from the
community. Please do reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

We will reach out to the community when we are ready with the first release.
