[c2] Lost in sub-folders

When I have the following files structure everything works fine:

index.xml
news.xml
products.xml

but when I move files to subfolders like:

/index.xml
/products/index.xml
/news/index.xml

those files stop working:

Looks like I have problems with paths.
But why?

with best wishes

 Alex,
What map:matches do you have in your sitemap to cope with this?
