Multiple IE versions on one box without partitions!

I'm forwarding this from another mailing list. I've installed 5.02, 5.5 
and 6.0 on my old NT box and so far so good apart from one visit from 
Dr. Watson.

Apparently clicking on Favorites can bring unexpected results.

I just downloaded the standalone versions from
http://www.skyzyx.com/archives/000094.php. I launched all three at the
same time and viewed one of my sites that I know has visual differences
in all three, and it displayed just as I expected it to.

One thing that I noticed is that when I checked the version on the IE5.5
install, it says that it's IE 6.0. But it definitely seems to be
rendering as IE 5.5.

The splash screen on starting and the user-agent confirm that it is the 
version it claims to be.
