How to run Tomcat off CD?

Hello:

I am trying to set-up a demo application on a CD.
Since the filesystem will be read-only, tomcat should only use 
configuration files that I will pre-write and not try to write 
anything to the disk as it will fail.

Does anyone know how to stop tomat from writing the xxx-auto.conf
files?

Is there anything else I need to consider when I do this?
