OpenDDR - Cumulative

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Bertrand/All,

I understand the issue and have removed the cumulative resources which
I, it would appear, 'illegally' committed.

This still leaves us with a bit of a resources issue.
I agree with Werner : it would appear Stefano is best placed to help
address some of these issues.

Im going to go ahead and echo Bertrand's comments regarding the intent of the actual committers. If we can get the process which produces the data to be more transparent and in the open, that would be a good first step for this project.

IC, so it was "donated" by Eberhard who I haven't heard of any affiliation with the OpenDDR team so far

Reza at least via issue tracker, etc. contributes to OpenDDR and he is also a member of the "team", but not so different from many Git-based projects (e.g. that Portlet 3.0 spec I mentioned uses GitHub that way) changes are merged by a single or small number of owners based on Pull-requests many people might raise. As of now, Reza could do that. If ownership and licensing is clarified there are a few others, including Stefano or myself (if I'm done scanning or faxing that signed document)

Well we don't have Git everywhere to start with, but leaving that aside, a
Gerrit-like mechanism AT DeviceMap could help with that. If people still
contribute elsewhere, well, people (at least one person occasionally[?]) may
also still contribute to WURFL, and there unlike Apache we can't control,
if they simply forked OpenDDR to do so[?]

Apache insists on voluntary contributions, so it's only ok to grab a
pull request if someone explicitly mentions their intention to
contribute it here or in jira or in some other way that makes their
intention explicit. We cannot assume that people intend to contribute
code to Apache projects if they send pull requests elsewhere.

Thanks, I think it's best to be very clean on this.
