If you use Jdk1.4 your suppose to be able to use -Djava.awt.headless=true and supress the need for Xvfb or X server.
I'm using tomcat 4.1.2 and jdk 1.4.0_03 and all i get is a HeadlessException.

Any one with better luck out there?
