[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-21849) master serving regions version is not handled correctly, causing system table hosting to not work

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-21849?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16761373#comment-16761373 ]

Sergey Shelukhin commented on HBASE-21849:
------------------------------------------

The reason is that the shortcut in HRegionServer bypasses the RpcServer infrastructure that provides the version via connection header.
Adding an alternative wrapper that provides the version in a local call for the calls that require it.
I've confirmed the issue on cluster, still need to test this patch.
