How easy is it to migrate a CVS repository from CVS to subversion

Hi Subversion Users,
Just curious if anyone knows how easy it is to migrate a CVS repository 
to Subversion.  Is it relatively painless?  How long does it take?  
Also, how easy is Subversion to use as compared to CVS (relatively the 
same?)

Yes.

Depends on many factors: repository size, number of revisions, speed of 
machine, etc.

It seems to take from between not very long to a hell of a long time. 
:-)

Nearly the identical. In fact, in *most* cases, your users will just 
need to change
'cvs' to 'svn' in their CLI commands.

One area that seems to throw many CVS users, however, is the way in 
which Subversion
handles tags. I'm not suggesting there is a problem, or that one way is 
better than
the other, only that the two feature sets' areas of commonality is 
narrow enough in
some cases that it may cause hives, itchiness, heart palpitations and 
death in people
prone to 'it doesn't work the way I think it should' syndrome. :-)
