purge - compaction

Hi guys,

here a simple question again,
what is the _purge thing about, where is the difference to compaction?
Found nothing in the wiki about it, but read some articles where it
was referenced,
still got no idea where the difference is

thx alot
mario

If you purge a document, the delete instruction won't get sent via
replication. This is useful if you want to delete a document only on
one node of your couchdb network.
