MKACTIVITY request failed: permission denied

Hi everyone,

This is a very weird problem. I've been using SVN along with Apache
2.0.54 on Ubuntu Hoary without a single hitch and everything was
working fine.

Some days ago, it happened the following error while trying to commit
(updates do nothing wrong)

svn: MKACTIVITY request failed on '/repos/comp/!svn/act/0000010a0a11a141'
svn: svn: Can't open file
'/home/savane/svn-repositories/comp/db/transactions/39-1.txn/node.0.0':
Permission denied

I checked the permissions of the directories and everything was fine.
I'm accessing the repository through WebDAV as I've always done. The
apache user has permissions for reading, writing or executing.

If I restart the Apache web server, everything works fine again. Two
days later, it happens again. Did all the due apt-get's to install the
latest fixes and security patches but the problem keeps going.

Any ideas?
