portlet proxy from pluto through jetspeed?

Can someone point me in the right direction, or indicate that the direction
doesn't exist?

My goal is to serve portlet content from Pluto, through Jetspeed.

I'd like to register a couple of portlets that are working in my generic
Pluto (1.0.1) install to be rendered from within my generic Jetspeed-2
(2.0.1) install. Both Pluto and Jetspeed are working in a standalone sense,
in separate JVMs. I want them to talk HTTP amongst themselves to render the
Pluto portlets through Jetspeed-2.

I read, and was successful, doing a single portlet install on Jetspeed from
this doc: http://wiki.apache.org/portals/Jetspeed2/DeployingCustomPortlets

I really want to separate the JVM's and not deploy my portlets directly into
Jetspeed-2. If one of my portlets upsets the JVM, I don't want to hose the
Jetspeed-2 JVM.

Does Jetspeed-2 support registering remote portlets with a URL from Pluto?
Are there pointers somewhere on how to do this (as I've looked but failed to
find anything)?

Thanks!
Jason
