+----------
+VM metrics (a.k.a. Instance Metrics in the UI) are there to show basic CPU, RAM, Storage and Network statistics of a VM. Metrics are collected via the background tasks. For different kind of VM metrics (CPU/RAM, Storage, Network) there are different background tasks, which are controlled via couple of global configuration settings parameters as shown below

+We have "some" IO read/write shown on the different places, but with completely different numbers...
+
+- On Instance Metrics page
+  - While testing on VMware, I noticed this is ever increasing number going into 20.000-30.000 and it seemed to be summary of all VM volume's last IOPS (as observed on Volume Metrics for that VM) but...
+  - While testing on latest master/KVM - I see 700 IOPS here - but when checking *Volume Metrics* -it shows 29 iops for empty DATA disk and 7500 IOPS for ROOT disk (idle VM!)
+  - So it seems incosistent and definitvely needs explanation - and if we are showing acumulated over time iops on Instance View, this doesn't make any sense ?
+- On Statistic tab of the VM - showing the same number as in the "Instance Metric" page
+- what are IOPS shown on the Instance Metrics tab (Statistics tab of specific Instance)
+  - Just ROOT disk or summary of all disks
+  - Accumulated over time or just the ones gathered last time
+- What are the IOPS in the Volume Metrics view - average per second obtained from hypervisor OR "current" IOPS as reported by hypervisor
