[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-9877) Disallow schema changes if resultant replica count is zero

sankalp kohli created CASSANDRA-9877:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Disallow schema changes if resultant replica count is zero
                 Key: CASSANDRA-9877
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-9877
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: sankalp kohli
            Priority: Minor

We have seen too many cases in which keyspaces are created with wrong DC names leading to zero replicas. This can also happen due to update schema.
We should not allow such changes if the resultant replica count is zero.
Also I am not sure if anyone needs to specify a DC name which is non existent.
