## Problem
The Message Explorer keeps messages, selected-message details, trace data, and query errors when the selected instance changes. The retained state belongs to the prior instance but remains visible under the newly selected one.
## Impact
Operators can mistake stale results or diagnostics for data from the active instance.
## Proposed fix
Reset query results, query errors, selected message state, and trace state on an instance-context change. In-flight responses from the previous instance must not restore stale state. Add regression coverage.
