DO NOT REPLY [Bug 52771] New: New release notifications

https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=52771

             Bug #: 52771
           Summary: New release notifications
           Product: JMeter
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: issues@jmeter.apache.org
        ReportedBy: immanuel.hayden@gmail.com
    Classification: Unclassified

Hi!

This is a two-part wish (I know, bad, bad, but they belong together)

1) I would love if there was a JMeter release blog where new releases are
posted, so ppl can use an RSS-Service to get notified on new releases.

2) When a new release is made please also update the Wikipedia entry on JMeter
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jmeter) to refer to the new release. Currently
the site still notes 2.5.1 as the lastest stable release (at least the english
version, the german one seems to already have been updated).

Thanks for considering,
Immanuel

Cool B-)

Would it be possible to add that feed to the jmeter.apache.org page somehow, so
people can find it more easily? See
http://webdesign.about.com/od/rss/a/link_rss_feed.htm

br,
Imm

Edit: ok, the nr 2 seems to be a wikipedia problem ... when I visit
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jmeter I get the 2.5.1 but when I go to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_JMeter I see 2.6 ... gonna file a bug
report with them I guess ...
