Hi gang,

For those new to macs,

And in particular

Are of interest. I've asked osuosl for the BSD subsystem and Xcode, after
which we can install

  http://www.darwinports.org/

Leaving us with a "port" command that's the road to a GNU environment much
more similar to linux, ie we can do stuff like

  port install coreutils
  port install python2.4
  port install subversion

Etc etc. For people with mac os x 10.4 clients at their disposal, there's
also the 10.4 server admin tools,
