ISO SQL would define this as an error.

select vint.rnum,vint.cint, lead( vint.cint, 1.70 )  over ( order by vint.rnum) from vint vint 

The issue is the error message returned by Hive

Query returned non-zero code: 40000, cause: FAILED: SemanticException Failed to breakup Windowing invocations into Groups. At least 1 group must only depend on input columns. Also check for circular dependencies.
Underlying error: org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.UDFArgumentTypeException: Lead amount must be a integer value double was passed as parameter 1.
