In order to jump-start the upgrade, we created an initial patch, which:

a) Upgrades the version of Axis2 from 1.3 to 1.5-beta-2 (for lack of an official 1.5 final release).
b) Upgrades the version of Axiom from 1.2.5 to 1.2.8, since Axis2 1.5-beta-2 requires the latter.
c) Upgrades the version of all Axis2 modules from 1.3 to 1.4. AFAIK, the versioning scheme used for modules is orthogonal to that used for the core product. 

Please feel free to tack on additional work items that you think might be required for completing the upgrade to Axis2 version 1.5.
