How to disable servlet response buffering ?

Hi:
   does anybody knows how to disable servlet response buffering ?
I've tried ServletResponse.setBufferSize(0), but it doesn't work.
It seems that the BufferedServletOutputStream cannot be lesser
than 8192 bytes !
