   Cordova is erroring because it appears to be attempting to add a platform to a non-cordova project. Apache Cordova doesn't maintain the monaca client, therefore I'd suggest reaching out to Monaca's support channels.
   
   If you experience bugs using `cordova create` / `cordova platform add` commands directly, outside of the Monaca client, then please don't hesitate to open a new issue with the issue form properly filled out.
