jar support patch

I found on faq :

Instead of putting class files for my beans in a classes directory, I would
like to jar the class files. How would tomcat reference my jar file? Do I
modify a conf file?

There is a patch in the reply but It didn't seems to be in 3.1b1.
Any newer version around ?

If not did this patch will be included in next release ?
