[jira] [Closed] (ROL-1397) APP interop: null byte 0x0 getting into entry contents

Glen Mazza closed ROL-1397.
---------------------------

    Resolution: Unresolved

Item from 2007. Comment thread is unclear if this is still a problem today (APP still used? Does the upcoming Rome 2.0 have this problem?) We can reopen/enter a new JIRA if this turns up again.

> Some clients (the APE and Joe Gregorio's WXPython client) see to inject null bytes into APP entry content. Not sure if this is a client side or a JDOM issue. Either way, we need to sanitize input to remove bad characters and ensure well-formed HTML or XHTML.
