[jira] [Created] (PROTON-2052) [Python] Connections failed due to
authentication failures still retry
Andrew Stitcher created PROTON-2052:
---------------------------------------
Summary: [Python] Connections failed due to authentication failures still retry
Key: PROTON-2052
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-2052
Project: Qpid Proton
Issue Type: Bug
Components: python-binding
Reporter: Andrew Stitcher
If a connection fails due to authentication failure it is under nearly all circumstances going to fail with an authentication failure at all the backups too. If the connection doesn't fail but just carries on retrying forever the client will appear to hang and never produce any kind of useful diagnostic.
It would be better (and inline with the C++ binding behaviour) to simply fail the connection at the first authentication failure.
