Hi,

FYI, I follow the WhatWG [https://whatwg.org/] work group list.
Recently the subject Re: [whatwg] Adding a property to navigator for
getting device model came up.

The issue appears to be, summarized in a recent mail to the list by a
Google employee :

"Why don't we provide a better structure and not just a random string.
For example: deviceID, browserID, renderingEngineVersion ... Not sure
what else would be useful to group actions that the developer needs to
take. Haven't looked in detail."

It seems to me our collective expertise in the matter could add to the
discussion.
If we could make a wish-list : the ideal user-agent string or
structure, what would we propose ?
I think we should consider joining that debate.
