[jira] Created: (CASSANDRA-968) Add login requirement to hadoop

Add login requirement to hadoop
-------------------------------

                 Key: CASSANDRA-968
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-968
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Core
            Reporter: Todd Blose
            Assignee: Todd Blose
             Fix For: 0.7

Related to CASSANDRA-714, authentication should be required with hadoop before accessing a keyspace

Here are the proposed changes:

* username and password passed in as config parameters
* In ColumnFamilyRecordReader, login will happen at the end of initialization.
* If authentication fails, an exception is thrown (not sure how exception handling is happening)

I haven't actually tried accessing Cassandra from a Hadoop setting yet, but it needs fixed as part of CASSANDRA-714, so if someone could clarify that these details make sense, that would be appreciated.
