web-dav access sans login

We are currently moving to a new repository and we're using jackrabbit
now in our development environments.  Currently we have several
applications that retrieve their content via http access and we're
trying to convert that to the jcr.  The easiest way is to use the webdav
url but it prompts the user for a username and password.  Does anyone
know an easy way around this, via jackrabbit configuration or anything
similar.
