Today, we have ExternalCatalog, which is dead code. As part of the effort of merging SQLContext/HiveContext we'll parse Hive commands and call the corresponding methods in ExternalCatalog.

However, this handles only persisted things. We need something in addition to that to handle temporary things. The new catalog is called SessionCatalog and will internally call ExternalCatalog.
