How to fit the index data structure into RAM
Dear All,
I am trying to fit the nutch index into RAM. I found the document on the
nutch wiki http://wiki.apache.org/nutch/HardwareRequirements, which says the
data structure of the index for each document is around 2KB. However, I am a
little confused about the relevance with query/sec. Does it mean the size of
RAM should roughly equal the size of the index for the documents multiplying
the number of query per second? Could someone point me out? An synthetic
example would be appreciated.
Best
Hailong
