setting file node content by user

Usually you put a file in the repository and if there is a text
extractor, this content is indexed. But i wonder if I can set this "text
content". By example, I want to store a TIFF file and this file is an
scanned document, and the OCR extract some text from the TIFF. So I need
to put the TIFF file in the repository and put the resulting text from
the OCR to get this file indexed.
