FW: XMLBeans to Sponsor VXQuery

Gentle people,

Unless you've already seen this on the incubator list, XMLBeans PMC is sponsoring the proposal of VXQuery for getting into the incubator. 

Currently one more mentor is required for everybody to be in agreement. If you are eligible or know somebody who is: are a member of Incubator PMC or ASF member, and you or he is interested, please let us know.

Even if you're not eligible to be a mentor, but want to get involved, you can support VXQuery on general@incubator.apache.org list.

Hi all,

I've been approached by the guys at VXQuery. They would like to include XMLBeans as the Sponsor project for the VXQuery incubator proposal: http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/VXQueryProposal

The Sponsor entity is defined here: http://incubator.apache.org/guides/proposal.html#template-sponsors . 

Please speak up your opinion; hopefully we'll reach a consensus.

In my opinion it would be very useful to have an Apache XQuery implementation, on one side we could add support for it along Saxon, and on the other side their plan is to have native support for XMLBeans in VXQuery.
