Attached a resulting artifact.

Steps to reproduce:

New Project -> Java with Maven -> EJB Module

Any name (TestEjbModule in this case) -> NEXT

Server: <No Server Selected> (can be anything)

Java EE Version: Java EE 8

Finish

The resulting project is a WAR project, not an EJB module.

This issue looks related: NETBEANS-3494error when creating ejb project
