I'm ready I think; just gathering pre-vote opinions.

Here using the trunk as usual and everything goes well.

was we thread i discussed about release process

Unofortunately, i never committed the new release process (which i've in
fact followed for 3 releases two of which were voted down) and i've recently
lost one of my hard drives so i don't have it any more :(

http://www.apache.org/dev/publishing-maven-artifacts.html has the
process in more detail
and i think this is what i ended up down... Some notes on it:
- Step 1.2.3 i've found to be very important - if the diffs make sense
then you're in no
danger of messing up the svn repo !
- During step 4 we need to generate some additional artifacts through
the ant target
This is very easy to do because during the mvn release:perform step, the correct
tag will have been checked out into your /target folder, so just go
into there and issue
the ant goal.

That's all - i don't think i remember any other gotchas... hope it
goes smoothly for you too

One small thing I notived with the snapshots...
The new JavaScript interfaces/methods are spelled with a lower case s:
- JavascriptStack
- JavascriptSupport
- includeJavascriptLibrary
- etc

but @IncludeJavaScriptLibrary is spelled with a capital S.

Yes, this is a petty detail, I just wanted to bring it up now in case you
want to change it before an alpha.
I only noticed it because Eclipse's camel case completion doesn't work as
expected:
JSS --> Ctrl+Space --> JavaScriptSupport

Re: Time for an alpha?

I agree with Ulrich, i think a new release for T5.1 (bug fixing,
improvements) is awaited by many in the community.

In addition to the one suggested by Ulrich, i see :

XHTML5 support (TAP5-840) : since T5.1 is based on stax and T5.2 on sax,
application that rely on T5.1 will not benefit of the changes in T5.2
addRow nullPointerException after a period of time : see (TAP5-733)
Datefield XSS Vulnerability : (TAP5-1057)

Any other idea ?

I think a new release is overdue. People are struggling with problems long solved in trunk. We
should also consider cutting another 5.1 release before a stable 5.2 containing some of the
improvements and a fix for the asset protection problem. 5.1.0.5 still has that vulnerability...
