All OK with WIN
4 center cells in Table are selected, nothing unexpected in Toolbar.

What icons are inactive? Is a pattern visible?

The table toolbar is perfectly working for me on Linux 64 with RPM packages
(revision 4.0.1, "AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958"). I see all buttons
active, much like Rainer's Windows screenshot.
Packaging should not be a major factor here, but did you see this with DEB
packages only or with RPM too?

Hm, I think we need a very complete description of your Linux system, my
suspect is tat those problems are related to distribution, KDE or whatever
