1.6 release

I'd like to propose that we release 1.6 in early september. Although this
is 5 months since 1.5 it is the holiday season for the brits amongst us so
likely hood is that not much could get done in June/July.

I'd also like to propose that we attempt to produce 1.7 by late
November/December.

Thoughts please?

is it worth doing an alpha? I don't think so personally.

Re: 1.6 release

I am OK with these dates. We have three months to September - looking
at the number of new features being implemented into 1.6, would it be
a good idea to have a 1.6 beta in mid August?

Thanks,
Samisa...
