hardlinks in win2k

Hi,

First off, congrats on a great tool. I'm just starting to switch over from cvs, and i'm definitely seeing the light - your documentation is crystal clear.

It just so happens that at the same time I'm considering some directory reorganization of my winxp install, and i stumbled upon this:

http://aroundcny.com/technofile/texts/tec042802.html

I've used it, and yes, hard links are possible using NTFS.

I haven't seen anyone mention this on any of the task/bug lists, but i may have missed something. Thought i'd let you know in case you want to add link versioning support for windows.

Thanks,
Raphael

Hi,

what's described there is an equivalent of a *soft* link, not a hard
link (and yes, hard links exist in NTFS as well).

Best regards, Julian
