Collection no IndexManager error

Hi All,

I'm building an app to allow me to browse through the database structure, at
present using the code and database as supplied in the Core-1.0b4 version.
However for some collections I get the following exception when I try and
see if they have any resources:

org.xmldb.api.base.XMLDBException: Collection No IndexManager
	at
org.dbxml.core.FaultCodes.createXMLDBException(FaultCode.java:230)
	at
org.dbxml.client.xmldb.CollectionImpl.getResourceCount(CollectionImpl.java:3
47)

This happens for collection such as /db, which I wouldn't expect to have any
resources - but is there a way to test for this rather than catching the
exception and ignoring it?

TIA Jackson

You'll have to catch the exception, but this should only occur on /db
unless you're manually creating a collection without specifying a full
configuration.

www.google.com -> Windows ME "environment size" ->

"Windows ME:
Changing the environment size has to be made as follows:

Browse to your Windows directory (for example, C:\Windows).
Right-click Command.com, and then click Properties from its pop-up menu.
Click the Memory tab.
In the Initial Environment box, set the initial environment size to 4096
bytes. Click OK.
Don't forget to reboot your computer after changes have been done!"

I have had the same problem with XP. In the olden days
I would have updated the config.sys and added a "shell" command
with /E:2048. That doesn't seem to work with XP. Does anyone
know how to enlarge the environment space in XP/ME? In
Win2000 it is just like NT and is done through the Control Panel.

To many this would maybee seem obvious, but I'm having great difficulties
running dbxml under Me. Error messages are saying I do not have enough
memory for system variables. Is this a problem specific to Me/98, and
would it help to install winn2000 or WinXP?
Anyone had this problem??
