[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-499) Becoming a member of the EtherCAT Technology Group

Christofer Dutz created LEGAL-499:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Becoming a member of the EtherCAT Technology Group
                 Key: LEGAL-499
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-499
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Task
            Reporter: Christofer Dutz

In order to get access to specifications and to get a Vendor ID assigned, we need to become a member of the EtherCAT Technology Group. This membership is free.

We need this in order to be able to implement EtherCAT drivers in the PLC4X project as well as to use the Logos (Probably the StreamPipes project will then also benefit from this membership)

As soon as we are a member, a next step will be to acquire a Vendor ID.
