framework documentation setup

currently:

- "developing with avalon", aimed at experienced java programmers that
wish to use the avalon added value, bit outdated as berin's writing his
book
- "guide to avalon framework", like a complete, concise guide for really
smart people, or for people that have time to re-read
- "framework reference", definition of contracts 'n stuff

thinking of:

- "avalon for dummies" (for lack of better title) that does *not* start
of with descriptions of patterns, system decomposition, but instead with
"Hello World", which evolves into an FortuneCookieServer and a
swing-based FortuneCookieClient. Use tweety. Provide "tutorial kit" or
something like that (ie sources).

- "guide to avalon internals" that is basicaly a description of tweety
to help people that want to either become avalon developers or write
custom containers 'n stuff.

any input would be nice?

cheers,

- Leo

I'm labeling myself here, but I could definitely use an Avalon for
dummies guide. I really dislike the whole "for dummies" line of books,
but Avalon is complex enough (for me and other newbies, I think) that
I'm willing to put my ego aside and say, yes, I need one.

When looking over the Avalon site, I can tell I'm looking at something
very cool, but I mostly don't have the experience figure out exactly
why. This type of for dummies/hello world intro before jumping into
"developing with Avalon" would be awesome.

I'd appreciate this, too, as I like knowing how things work, but it
depends on whether you want to bring more users into the fold (via
"Avalon for dummies") or you want existing Avalon users to step up and
start submitting more stuff (via "guide to avalon internals").
