Downloading SMX 4.1-SNAPSHOT ?

Hi,

I'm looking for a version of SMX4.1-SNAPSHOT. I need it mostly because I
need Camel CXF 2.1.0 to solve a Factory issue.
I've read the doc for building it on my own but I'm a bit confused. The
instructions for checking out the source seem incorrect on the site. When I
look at the SVN repo, there's one source tree for features, kernel, nmr,
etc....

What do I need exactly to checkout to build a version of SMX4 ? Is there a
daily or weekly generated build that I could download else ? Thanks for your
help !

Hi Willem,

Thanks for your reply. In the meantime, I have been able to find a way of
using CXF. It requires the latest SMX4 sources (maybe it's time to upload a
new snapshot on Apache servers?) and the workaround described in
https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SMX4-442 SMX4-442 .

+1 for updating the CXF version :-).

Hi,

You can uninstall the cxf bundle first, or remove the CXF, Camel related
features from ServiceMix/etc/org.apache.felix.karaf.features.cfg from
featuresBoot section.

Then you can install Camel 2.1.0-SNAPSHOT features as you want.

BTW, I think it's time to upgrade the CXF version in ServiceMix now :)

Re: Downloading SMX 4.1-SNAPSHOT ?

Posted by TheWinch <vi...@thalesgroup.com>.
Hi Charles,

I have already the reference to
mvn:org.apache.camel.karaf/features/2.1.0-SNAPSHOT/xml/features in the cfg
of the latest snapshot I downloaded (unable to build from SVN, I keep
getting errors).

I am unable to install camel-cxf in SMX4 : it hangs after unregistering
servicemix-wsn2005. I noted a mismatch in CXF version from SMX (2.2.4) and
Camel (2.2.5).

Is there a way to use camel-cxf in SMX4.1 ? Does karaf 1.2.0 help, and how
am I supposed to install it in SMX4.1 ?

Thanks for your help.

exit --> osgi:shutdown

Do you need jbi or nmr components ? If this is not the case, install apache
felix karaf 1.2.0 (used by servicemix 4) :

http://apache.promotionalpromos.com/felix/apache-felix-karaf-1.2.0.zip

where you will be able through the file :

org.apache.felix.karaf.features.cfg to add the camel feature file :
mvn:org.apache.camel.karaf/features/2.1.0-SNAPSHOT/xml/features

Remark : as camel-2.1 is under construction, maybe the version
2.1.0-SNAPSHOT must be replaced by 2.1.0

I noted that the latest available snapshot is based on CXF 2.2.4, while Camel
2.1.0 is planned to use CXF 2.2.5. Is there a plan to fix this ?

Additional question: where has the "exit" shell command disappeared ? How am
I supposed now to exit the shell or the ssh connexion ?

Snapshot can be download from here :
http://repository.apache.org/snapshots/org/apache/servicemix/apache-servicemix/4.1.0-SNAPSHOT/

Last : 23Th November.

Check in the servicemix system folder that the version of camel installed
correspond to the one you are looking for
