Earlier I reported

Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Input directory e:/apps/nutch/crawlTest/urls in local is invalid.

I retract my observation - it works. I re-did my steps this morning, re-read some threads, and realized the problem was staring me in the face: " ... Input directory ... " Like a twit, I was passing a file, sigh.
