[jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-1981) JsonLayout (and possibly XmlLayout
and YamlLayout) should support 0-byte termination
Mikael Ståldal created LOG4J2-1981:
--------------------------------------
Summary: JsonLayout (and possibly XmlLayout and YamlLayout) should support 0-byte termination
Key: LOG4J2-1981
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-1981
Project: Log4j 2
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Layouts
Affects Versions: 2.8.2
Reporter: Mikael Ståldal
To make it easier to process a stream of log events from JsonLayout, it should be possible to have them terminated by a 0-byte.
If possible, implement in AbstractJacksonLayout and apply to XmlLayout and YamlLayout as well.
Similar to what we just implemented for GelfLayout.
