Deleting artifacts from 'release only'; repositories

Greetings,

I have admin privs on a local archiva repository version 2.2.0

I want to delete an artifact thru the gui, so i navigate down to the 
artifact, but when i get to the artifact path item below the
-- 
<br type="_moz" />

final group path item, the message appears:



                   managed repo is configured for release only

And i can't see the artifacts. Is there a way to delete these artifacts? 
can i convert this repo to _not_ release only, or something?
