Whimsy site check status update
Hi all,
Just to inform you that we're "very green" in the whimsy webssite check
for podlings at https://whimsy.apache.org/pods/project/netbeans
The remaining "red flag" is about our image, which Bertrand kindly
uploaded to https://www.apache.org/img/netbeans-212-245.png, but that is
not being detected by the whimsy checking tool (which is in beta, BTW).
I'll be contacting the whimsy team to make all green.

Hi Emilian,
I've taken a look at the regexp they're using and it seems this is OK.
I've already sent an email asking for help.
To rename that file we'll need the help of an Apache Member. Before
requesting that help let's wait and see what the whimsy team has to say.

I see all the other projects have $projectname.png images on https://www.apache.org/img/
NetBeans has netbeans-212-245.png. Maybe that's why the check fails? Please rename the file to netbeans.png and see if it works.

I'm just worried about "copy of their logo".

Maybe, it has the big size logo but the file name is different.

Hi Junichi,
There's no requirement to host the logo on _our_ website. The
requirement is to upload the logo to http://www.apache.org/img/.
The logos at http://trafficontrol.incubator.apache.org, for instasnce,
are hosted at trafficontrol.incubator.apache.org (i.e. there's no link
to www.apache.org/img).
I tend to think this is either a bug in whimsy's website checks or the
"suffix" in our logo as uploaded to http://www.apache.org/img/.
Regarding the SVG logo, this renders properly in high dpi screens as
well, is small and fast, and well supported.
I've already sent an email to whimsy's check maintainers, and I'm
awaiting for a response. I'll keep you posted.
