How is XMLDB used in Lenya?

Hello List,

how is XMLDB used/integrated in(to) Lenya?
Are there plans or ideas of storing docs in db instead of storing them
in the filesystem?

we are currently using Lexus, which is an XUpdate implementation,
within the formbased editor.

I think the general direction is to implement JCR (resp. JSR-170) as a
data abstraction layer, which should offer a XML DB store.
