[jira] [Commented] (YARN-5032) TestContainerResourceUsage#testUsageAfterAMRestartKeepContainers fails intermittently

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5032?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15268025#comment-15268025 ]

Kuhu Shukla commented on YARN-5032:
-----------------------------------

{{rm.drainEvents()}} AFAIK takes care that the events are dispatched from the dispatcher. That does not necessary entail successful completion which is where waitForState() helps. The former method call alone would not ensure that all needed tasks/counters are updated. Appreciate any comments.

> Similar to YARN-5024, this test fails intermittently showing better passing rate through the addition of {{rm.drainEvents()}} after node heartbeats and {{finishAMAndVerifyAppState}} in {{amRestartTests()}} but does not fully fix the problem.
