Flex 4 layout feature and DisplayObjectContainer

Hello

Long time ago, I asked Matt Chotin about Flex 4 layout feature.
And he answered, in future release of Flex (6 or later), they tried to
remove DisplayObjectContainer from layout components. Because we use
HBox/VBox so much complexly and it doesn not need that each HBox/VBox
are DisplayObjectContainer.

Did Adobe share with Apache about the future view of Flex including this?

thanks

UIComponent is based on Sprite which is a DisplayObjectContainer. I'm not
sure how we'd eliminate a dependency on DisplayObjectContainer or why it
would help. Can you clarify?
